Gary’s role is to assist the COO in ensuring the strategic aims of MORU are met through providing high-level administrative support across the Tropical Health Network, with a focus on strengthening MORU’s interface with Oxford. HR responsibilities include the full lifecycle of Oxford staff including recruitments, administration and support. For finance, he is the lead on developing the reporting to Oxford, budgeting and forecasting as well as eventual oversight of the new ERP system (Oracle NetSuite). Research support includes providing expertise on pre and post-award activity, to assist the administration of numerous research grants, across multiple funding sources.
Gary holds a BSc and has spent most of his working career within the research and finance environment. He was previously working as a Research Manager in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Leeds and has broad and proficient experience across multiple operational disciplines.
