Palang Chotsiri
Senior Scientist, Clinical Pharmacology
Currently a senior scientist at MORU's Department of Clinical Pharmacology, Palang is a trained physicist. He uses pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modelling and simulation as his main research tools. The use of mathematical and statistical modelling to solve biological problems fascinates Palang, since he can use mathematical equations to translate data into meaningful and impactful outcomes. Palang holds a PhD in Tropical Medicine, focusing on optimising anti-malarial drug regimens in several populations.
Palang's research aims to characterise the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of anti-infectious drugs in vulnerable populations, with the goal of optimising treatment and chemoprevention in these populations while also providing evidence to inform global treatment policies. Additionally, he intends to advance pharmacometric modelling methodologies to facilitate research in this field and communicate with a wider scientific community.
